Ancient Species
Synopsis
Organic farming originates from China. The skills of planting have been passed through one generation to another, which has been the only way. Peasants and lands have been linked by history and some complicated emotions. Ironically, parents who farm in rural areas hope that their children could run away from there through education. The economic development in China brings the improvement of living standard, but does not bring confidence to the people. People living in urban areas look down upon those in rural areas, which means they look down upon themselves. It is wrong to think that everything from outside is good and those of our own are but worthless. If people in China’s rural areas could find the confidence in lands and planting, doesn’t it also mean that the Chinese individuals find their confidence?
