Synopsis
Lei Zi is a young militiaman in the county. He has to go through a series of boring military trainings. He cohabits with A Hua and he likes to hang around with some bros including Hei Di. Qing Mao turns to Lei Zi for help after being released from prison and falls in love with A Hua.
This gang makes money from A Hua’s prostitution. They steal and fraud those whore masters. At the same time, they help to sale products from Mr. Lian, who is powerful and influential in the town.
Father Liu in church of the town tries to make Lei Zi convert to Christianity, but is laughed at and made jokes of by the gang of Lei Zi. Lei Zi makes acquaintance and falls in love with the kind and virtuous daughter of Father Liu, teacher Xiao Ping.
Then the “Strike Hard” Campaign takes place. Mr. Lian collaborates with members of the joint defense in town and sets up a hit for the “Sales Team” of Lei Zi, in order to take all the money alone. Lei Zi recognizes the fraud and leads his bros to kidnap Mr. Lian. Qing Mao seeks a chance to leave and brings A Hua with him. Then he kills Hei Di in the name of Mr. Lian. After that, Qing Mao and A Hua escape with money robbed from Mr. Lian. Lei Zi is irritated that he kills the lover of his mother using a picked gun and begins to chase after Qing and A Hua with a motor tricycle.

Wang Liren studied at Beijing Information Engineering University, Beijing Film Academy and Beijing University. His film ‘Trifle’ was nominated at the 36th International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2007 and won the Hubert Bals Fund. ‘Trifle’ also won an award in the 4th Chinese Independent Film Festival, and nominated in the Asian First Film Festival in Singapore, where this movie won five nominations Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Producer, Best Actor and Best Film. In 2008, the documentary film ‘The Troupe’ was made. Wang was in charge of the screenplay and directing of the movie ‘Tattoo’, which has again been selected into the 2009 38th International Film Festival Rotterdam. Now Wang is preparing for the films ‘The Troupe’, ‘Wandering Busker’ and ‘National Doll’
