Synopsis
It’s a story happened at the end of 20th century. A young boy called “Frog” left his hometown in south China for a big city, inordr to escape from divorded parents and pregnant girlfriend.
But the frustration in city made him to be a criminal. In a lot of robberies, his personalities was changed, he was on the way to lose himself…

Director
Zheng Yi was born in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, 1981. Studied in Art faculty of Japan SOJO University ,2004. Graduated from Academy Fine Arts of Guangxi Normal University, 2006. He was invited by Louis Vuitton (LVMH) to have a short exchange in Advanced National School of Art Villa Arson Nice France, 2008. He started to make documentaries in the university. Main works include: 'Flutter', 'The Moment 2 '(2005), 'Sing Folk Song'(2006), 'Where Will Go' (2006), 'Don't Ask Who I am' (2007), 'Stone Scissors Cloth' (2009). 'Woodpecker' is his first long-feature film. His film participated The 9th Shanghai International Film Festival, won Artist Award at The 12th French LVMH Young, and Special mention Award at The 48th Italy Popoli International Documentary Film Festival. Now, he lives in Beijing.
